Gym offers and discounts for CEC members¶
On this page you find different offers and discounts for CEC members in local gyms. As long as not mentioned otherwise, it should be fully sufficient to show your digital membership card when asking for the discounts. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to drop us an email.
Cortigrimpe¶
There are different kinds of discounts for CEC members as explained in the following. The usual prize table for Cortigrimpe can be found here.
Single entrance¶
CEC members get the reduced price.
Subscriptions¶
The subscriptions (1 year, 6 months, 3 months) are available for the reduced price for CEC members.
Indoor courses¶
Members can participate in the new "thematic" courses for the reduced prize usually reserved for people with subscriptions. Thematic courses will start on November 14th and are a lesson on a certain aspect of climbing/bouldering itself, not a safety course. Lead climbing lessons for up to 8 people can be organised in English. They will probably be held on Thursday evenings. Duration: 1 hour 15 min. Prize: 30 Eur per person. Exact dates to be determined by the interest from members. Outdoor courses Outdoor climbing trips will be organised from spring 2023, mostly for beginners who want to learn the safety techniques. Interest should be announced early, about in January 2023.
Shop¶
CEC members get the subscriber discount of 10% on all gear available in the shop of the gym (Edelrid).
Totem (Meyrin and Versoix)¶
There are different kinds of discounts for CEC members as explained in the following. As a baseline you can checkout the usual prizes of Meyrin and Versoix.
Single entrance Meyrin¶
CEC members get a reduced prize of 14 CHF instead of 18 CHF.
Single entrance Versoix¶
CEC members get a reduced prize of 12 CHF instead of 16 CHF.
Subscriptions¶
The offers are 15% off a local or global pass and 25% off the pass addict. Please refer to their websites (see above) to see what exactly these subscriptions cover.
Here is a small table providing an overview. The middle columns shows the reduced prices (rounded to full CHF) for CERN Climbing Club members. Discounts apply to the "Adulte" prizes (left column) and not to any other prizes. The right column shows the "Étudiant" prizes for comparison purposes only. The prizes were retrieved on the 17.11.2022, so in case Totem changes prizes in the meantime, the quoted values here are considered invalid. The discount always applies to the "Adulte" prizes quoted by Totem, so the following is a guideline. If you are a student, please checkout the last column. As of now, the reduced prizes on the pass local and pass global are still higher compared to the ones for students. On the other hand, the reduction on the pass addict means a lower prize with the CERN Climbing Club discount.

How to get your subscription¶
You can get a new subscription at the counter of any TOTEM gym, showing your membership card and possibly explain, if the employee is not aware of the process for CEC members (which might happen because all of this is very new). If that is unsuccessful, you can directly send an email to our contact person at TOTEM, Luca (luca[at]totem.ch and in CC corp[at]totem.ch as well as cern-climbing-committee[at]cern.ch) telling him the type of subscription you want, your starting date and please attach your CEC membership card. If you encounter any problems, let us know and we'll help of course!
Kids camp¶
For the parents amonst the CEC members: 10% discount on the one-week kids camps.
Grimper.ch¶
There are different kinds of discounts for CEC members as explained in the following. The usual prize table for Grimper.ch can be found here. There is a special procedure in place so that the discounts apply to you. If you haven't yet received the instruction, please get in touch with us.
Single entrance¶
On Mondays and Fridays, CEC members get a reduction of 20% on single entries between 17:00 and 19:00.
Subscriptions¶
There is a 15% discount on the annual subscription. To get the discount, the subscription must be bought Mondays or Fridays between 17:00 and 19:00.
Le Môll¶
Note that the discounts at Le Môll only apply to the bouldering and not to the trampulin area. The usual prize table can be found here.
Single entry¶
There is a 25% discount on the single entry. Currenlty, that means CEC members pay 15 CHF instead of 20 CHF.
Annuel subscriptions¶
There is a 15% discount on the annual subscription.
